Whether it is preparing motions, coordinating depositions, mediations, and hearings, problem-solving, handling clients and their paperwork, discovery preparation, and preparing to go to trial (yes I said trial, we are “real” trial attorneys at this firm), you are the primary support person for your attorney(s). You are the one that makes the wheels turn.

Key Responsibilities Include:

·       Manage files for litigation matters working one-on-one with attorneys, all of which are highly motivated, charismatic, warriors, ready for battle and call of duty at a second’s notice. You are their cheerleader, there to keep up the momentum and kick them in the pants to keep moving if necessary.

·       Intake and organization of voluminous production documents, every paralegal’s favorite part of the job but just part of it. Totally the non-glamorous part of the position.

·       Preparation of materials for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials. There is that trial word again, and yes we really do it.

·       Assist attorney(s) with prioritization of workload based on deadlines. Yes, we all know attorneys (s) are easily distracted, it is your job to keep them razor-focused.

·       Preparation and filing of legal documents with the Court

·       An ability to assist with the creation of processes and love the processes

Job Description

·       The ability to move at the speed of lightening and work in a fast-paced environment

·       Not low, not medium, but HIGH attention to detail and out –of-the-box thinking skills

·       A keen sense of urgency/time management relating to all duties. Like your planner is your best friend and so is your Outlook and case management software

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You need to know how to talk good. Just kidding. But seriously.

·       Flexibility in wearing many hats and putting on an academy award acting performance. Come on!!  You know you want to be famous!!

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, creating reports and presentations

Operations Assistant

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Complete data entry and update in several platforms (Not platform shoes, you know what we mean)

• Maintain and update confidential information and files. Top Secret stuff, it’s like you are a government spy, only not!

• Calendar and coordinate projects. See the party and family gathering planning thing is paying off (it will come up again, get excited)

• Scan various materials as needed. With a scanner

• Prepare notes for meetings and manage deadlines for action items. (Here is that planning thing again)

• Working directly/one-on-one with our Attorneys and Operations Manager, all of which are highly motivated, charismatic, and like Mary Poppins's “Perfect in Every Way”. You are there to maintain the momentum and perfection. (Unless it’s a pull your hair out kind of day if it is just be supportive).

• Direct the traffic of communications throughout the office incoming and outgoing. (This sounds like a crossing guard and not very glamorous but part of the process)

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the office. Like why do we keep running out of the bosses’ favorite coffee creamer?

• An ability to assist with the creation of processes and love the processes.
